HaeRim Yoo is an accomplished pianist and educator appearing as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician. She has collaborated in concert series such as House Concert of Korean Cultural Center of Chicago, Chamber Music Concert Series of the Midwest Fine Arts Society, and Salon Concert presented by Consul General of Japan in Chicago. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, NIU Convocation Center, Woojin Cultural Center in South Korea as well as various community venues, including concert and recital halls at universities, public schools, libraries, and churches. She has also performed as a concerto soloist with Northern Illinois University Philharmonic Orchestra and Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her solo and chamber performances, Yoo has served as an accompanist for numerous choral programs and festivals. She has worked with community and professional ensembles including Waubonsee Community College Chorale and Chamber Choir, NIU Chamber Choir, Sycamore High School Choirs, and numerous church choirs.

Yoo has been a prizewinner in multiple competitions including NIU School of Music Concerto Competition, American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, Shinye Music Competition, and Seoul Piastra Competition. She was also a finalist in the 35th Young Artists Piano Concerto Competition sponsored by the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she is a member of Franklin Honor Society, Phi Beta Delta (the honor society for international scholars) and Pi Kappa Lambda (the national music honor society).

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Yoo has worked with students of all ages, from young beginners to adult learners. Her students have been awarded in competitions such as Granquist Music Competition and have been selected for performance opportunities at their schools and other events. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Waubonsee Community College, where she teaches Class Piano I and II, Applied Piano, and serves as the accompanist. Previously, she has taught at Northern Illinois University Community School of the Arts and Midwest Conservatory of Music. In addition to her teaching, she has given a masterclass at Midwest Conservatory of Music and was invited to serve as an adjudicator for university concerto competition.
Yoo holds Bachelor of Music degree with honors in Piano Performance from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she was a recipient of the Rudolph Ganz Scholarship. She also holds both Master of Music degree and Performer's Certificate in Piano Performance from Northern Illinois University, where she was awarded the Lester Smith Creative Music Scholarship and Graduate Assistantship. She has studied with distinguished teachers, including William Goldenberg, Pawel Checinski, Dmitry Rachmanov, and Allen Anderson.
